Changes to Medicare Advantage Plans 2025!  Change is a coming!  Say it isn’t so, but it is.  Just last month, Humana and CVS announced that they are downsizing their geographical foot print and supplement benefits.  Word on the street is that this is a major year of upset for Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage plans, (affecting 2025 plans).

What does this mean for you the consumer?

This means some plans flat out leaving markets, higher costs to the consumer and less in the “goodie basket” for Medicare customers. You will need to diligently be keeping your eyes open for you Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) letter that companies are required to send you by early fall.  (Did you sign-up for email ANOC’s? If so, you may only receive this notice in your email box. Keep your eyes on those emails as well.

For some, these changes will affect more than others.   They will find out that their plan is going away the following year.  For others, the premium will be going up a significant amount.  You may also find out that a prescription that was previously covered is no longer covered.

What should you do?

Look for those ANOC letters and READ them and be proactive.  Get a review scheduled with your agent!  On the average, only 10% of clients get their plans reviewed each year.  Medicare plan reviews are a great way for you to make sure you have the best plan moving forward.

Lovely review we received recently:
“Rick McDermid has been part of my support team for years now. He has always been prompt and reliable. Rick stays current with the many changes in insurances in any given year, and contacts me if he feels it would be of benefit to me to change insurances companies. Rick and his staff have always been courteous and patient. They have returned calls promptly. I have recommended Senior Solutions Group, and Rick, to many friends and family members knowing he will watch out for their insurance needs as he has for mine.”
